Elliot was too surprised to move for a second, but then got ahold of himself and shoved Lane away. "Goddammit!" he yelled. "If I show you the fish man is alright, will you stop crying!?"

Elliot reluctantly lead Lane back into the carnival. He looked around to make sure his friends weren't in the area to see them. The coast was clear, so he took Lane to the fish stand. 'Phil' was no longer there, and the fish man was alive and healthy. "See!?" Elli demanded, thrusting his hand out towards the fish man.

"...Can we play the fish game?" he asked, hoping he didn't get hit. It's just, he had thought he was never going to get to play it again! And now he was so happy!

Elliot looked at him as if to say, 'are you fucking kidding me?' "You already have enough fish at home, Lane," he said in an almost parental tone. "You don't need another one. Come on, we're going home." He grabbed Lane's arm and started pulling him back to the gateway.

Lane let himself be led away. Maybe he'd come back and play tomorrow. :3

Elliot basically walked on the total other side of TL as they walked back to Dian and that made Lane sad.
